Our story didn’t start with a business plan…it started at home.

Long before there was a catering company, there were big family gatherings, full plates, and even fuller hearts. We both grew up in large families where the kitchen was the center of everything. Per usual good food always  brings everyone together. If a good meal is what you were craving… our kitchen was the spot to get it! 

That’s where our love for cooking was rooted.

For years, we cooked for holidays, gatherings, and friends who quickly became family. People would always say, “You should be selling this food.” But to us, it was never about selling — it was about serving, sharing, and showing love through food.

Then we realized something:

The same meals we prepared with love for our family could bless others too.

So in 2023, Tender Love & Jamaican Cuisine was born on paper; but not just as a business, but as an extension of who we already were.

Chef Rickey brings the flavor, the skill, and the natural talent that can’t be taught. Dwana brings the vision, the hospitality, and the heart behind the experience. Together, we create meals that feel like home but taste like the islands.

Our motto, “Eat to Live,” reminds us that food should nourish more than the body — it should feed the soul and bring people together. Every dish we serve carries our culture, our journey, and our passion.

This isn’t just catering for us.
